  But why was this necessary? Because this was still a rarity despite the work of earlier generations of women in music.

The maniFESTo zine

In 2025, Riot Girl Fest expanded to include a classic piece of vintage communication: a zine.

The Riot Girl ManiFESTo provides femme and queer contributors a platform to share their visual and written art, make their voices heard and to reach the masses through digital distribution.

Founded by Jennifer “Zooki” Sturges, Riot Girl Fest has received continued support from the Fort Worth Weekly.
